Jobs for Life – This is a course curriculum that helps students build Godly character traits that are attractive to employers and, in the process, develop confidence in themselves. The 8 week, 32 hour course is both biblically and practically based. Its intended audience is job seekers across all professions, entry level to senior staff, new and seasoned individuals. Class sessions are held at the church on Sundays from 5-7pm and Wednesdays from 6:15-8:30pm. Graduates are linked with JfL Sponsor Corporations in the Raleigh area for potential interviews. Cost is $15 for the textbook. The next course begins on Sunday, September 13. Pick up an application from the Church Office or click on the PDF file below and print one out. Crown Financial Ministries - This 10 week small group course is an in-depth study on biblical principles for Family Financial Management. Getting our financial houses in order and putting this very important part of our lives squarely under God’s guidance will be the focus of the study. Groups will have no more than 8-10 participants, and be led by a trained facilitator. Each session is 2 hours in length, and there is 2 hours of homework to do each week before the next session. Wonderful materials have been designed for this study, including the textbook, “Your Money Counts”, the Life Group Manual (Bible study), and the Life Group Practical Application Workbook (forms and suggestions for getting financial life organized). Cost for the materials will be $25 for individual participants and $35 for married couples. The next Crown Course will begin Sunday, September 13. I Need A Job! – First Steps to Re-Employment
Trinity’s “First Steps to Re-Employment” Workshop is themed as “My Career Voyage.” It targets the newly unemployed, those soon to be unemployed, and those who need to jump-start a stalled job search. The workshop is an outreach to those in need including Trinity members, the extended Trinity family, and the community in general.
Led by Career Development Facilitator, Patty Edwards Shaver, the workshop meets on scheduled weeks, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to Noon for hands-on, computer-assisted activities and instruction. Attendees should plan their afternoons to complete the activities began in the morning. Career Explorers use the following career planning tools to chart their career course:
·ASSESS: Looking Within - Self-assessments help career explorers to better understand their interests, skills, abilities, personality and work values.
·EXPLORE: Finding Direction - Career exploration tools help career explorers find occupations that are a good fit.
·PREPARE: Charting the Course - Create marketing materials (business cards, portfolios and resumes) that stand out and increase the chance of obtaining an interview.
·NAVIGATE: Taking the Wheel - Discover how to use the best methods of finding employment: networking, researching companies and more.

Support / Network Gatherings – These are times when folks can get together here at the church to get and give emotional support and encouragement to each other during this difficult period of unemployment. Some will be for the unemployed only. Others will be for the whole family who is experiencing one or more adults unemployed. The next Gathering will be in our church parlor, TBD.
